[Quick shots of: Oliver flying a helicopter with Lois in the passenger seat as Mercy and a dozen guards shoot at them/ Reynolds becoming transparent and passing through the ceiling as a guard shoots bullets through his translucent body/ Clark hiding behind a tree and inspecting a wound in his sholder.]

PompusCV!Voice: Everything you've seen this year has been leading to this.

[Shot of the helicopter crashing into a forest/ Chloe tied up in a chair and writhing in agony / Lana and Lex struggling over the weapon / Lex puching Clark in the face]

Lex: I'm going to let you live just long enough to witness the death of your beloved Kal-El.

PompusCV!Voice: Someone will learn his secret,

[Shot of Clark holding Lois in mid air.]

Lois: Kal-El?

[Cut to a pissed Clark walking by Reynolds.]

Clark: No more mind wipes.

PompusCV!Voice: Someone will betray his secret,

[Shot of Lex standing over a battered and brusied Clark]

Lex: I was wondering when you would finally show up, Clark. Or should I say Kal-El?

[Clark looks up in surprise. Lex smiles in amusement.]

Lex: Someone's been telling stories about you.

PompusCV!Voice: And someone will take his secret to the grave.

[Shot of a wild eyed Lex yelling in Clark's face]

Lex: She's dead!

Clark: [Disbelief] No. You... you killed her?

Lex: No, Clark, you killed her. She's dead because of you!

[Shot of Lana running past Lex to comfort Clark who's crumpled on the floor] Lana: Clark! [She looks up at Lex in disgust] What have you done? Lex: What I should have done, years ago.

Don't you think we're giving away too much?

What are we giving away? That somebody dies?

Somebody learns the secret, somebody betrays Clark, and somebody dies!

You want people to tune in, right?

Yeah, sure.

We don't show them who dies or who betrays him. And technically more than one person learns his secret so that's a surprise too.
