A Chew Out Session

[shouting ahead] Hey, Welling! Wait up.

[Looks back at AM and then at his trailer trying to figure out if he can make a break for it]

Looks like somebody is in trouble.

Seriously, Tom. Don't you already have a wife for that?

[Catching up she pulls him aside] Well that was a disaster! I told you I should have waited for this episode. I had Michael completely over a barrel... and you... you... just squandered it! Now I have to make Lex look competent and smart.

I didn't just squander it! Chloe stopped investigating Lori. And that's what you asked for.

Yeah but she broke up with Oliver and got herself replaced by Lois at the DP! How is that any better? It's not. It's worse. At this point I'd be happy if the only problem I had with the episode was that Chloe didn't stop investigating.

You think I was thrilled they had Clark walk in on Lionel and Martha bumping uglies!?!

Technically they're only doing post coital cuddling.

You know what I mean!

I can't believe you went and talked to them without me! What the hell were you thinking?

I was thinking I'd just heard the worst possible end for the Lori relationship I could have imagined. We'll both go next time.

Next time it's "integrate the changes with the script as based on the draft everybody read"!

I thought there wasn't going to be a next time.

If we're lucky there won't be. But just in case...

How was I supposed to know they'd changed those scenes and passed it on to Al and Miles? They're not supposed to do that!

Maybe when when they stopped talking about the draft and started talking about the script "as is". Everybody makes minor adjustments after the cast sees the draft. You know that.

Key word being minor. Besides, even if you had waited for Bridges don't you think Kristen would have been suspicious when Michael started taking things too easy on Chloe?

To keep her from finding out he was my mole in the whole Al and Miles plot he'd do what ever it takes.

I think she'd figure it out. She's not stupid.

No, but she knows what a trouble maker he is. She'd be surprised if we didn't have any dirt on him. There's no way for her to know what the dirt was.

Look, I'm sorry I screwed up the negotiation.

Yeah, me too.

Are Chloe and Oliver back together?

Was Chloe able to retire the fishnets?

Is the Lex-Hoe relationship the least bit appropriate?

[Spots ED walking to her trailer] Hey, Erica....

Hey, Tom, what's up?

Would you talk to Allison...

[Hurries up] I'm staying out of it.

But you two are writing together!

What happens between you and Allison stays between you and Allison. Leave me out of it.

But I need your help!

[opens her trailer door and rushes in] Nice talking to you, Tom. [slams the door]

[Walks up to TW] Did I hear that right?

What?

There's something going on between you and Allison?

Oh, no, don't you dare start!

Because that's a pretty juicy rumor.

[Looks at MR likes he's an idiot] Tom and Allison? [pause then angry to TW] So you're the one she was working with!

If I find out it was you I swear to God [stomps off] Heads are going to roll!
