Deleted scene from Distrust (in retrospect it's fortuitous I cut it seeing as how Lana's necklace didn't have Kryptonite in it at the time.)

Chloe and Lana's dorm room. Lana is dressing. Chloe voices surprise, "I see you've broken out you're old necklace again."

"Yeah. Until Lex finds something else it's our only protection against Kal-El."

"You've seen what that stuff does to people. Aren't you afraid to wear it?"

"I wore it for years. A few more months isn't going to kill me."

Don't we wish.

"I won't touch the stuff. I know it gave a lot of people special abilities, but with my luck I'd end up with cancer or something." Chloe spots Clark coming through the door and tries to shoo him away. He doesn't get the hint and doubles over as he comes in next to Lana.

"Clark are you OK?"

Hold on. You mean Lana doesn't notice the necklace is glowing? Isn't that the whole reason Lex told her to wear it?

Well, yeah, but...

But the light coming in the dorm windows are so bright you can hardly tell it's glowing.

[Skeptical] Ya think?

Sure why not?

"You don't look so good." Sitting Clark on her bed, "Here, let me get you a waste basket before you make a mess. So much for a 'stomach of steel'!"

Lana looks at Chloe quizzically.

"I caught him eating a week old egg salad sandwich."

"Ew!"

"Hey, Clark did you notice Lana's started wearing her meteor rock necklace again?"

Clark grunts "uh-huh."

So now you're even going to point it out and she still doesn't get it? Is Lana supposed to be an idiot?

Nobody answer that question. Look Tom, this is supposed to be a funny scene. Can you let it go for once?

I don't know.

Well at least let us finish before interrupting again?

Patting him on the back, "You are such a liar. In your state I doubt you noticed anything."

Coming over to Clark and placing her hand on his back, "Is there anything I can do?"

Clark starts groaning louder. Chloe starts getting hyper, "You know what? I think we should give him some air. I've seen Clark spew and if that happens you don't want to be anywhere near him with those shoes when he goes Mt. Vesuvius."

Lana makes a squirrely face and backs off, "I hope you feel better soon, Clark."

Groaning, "Thanks." Chloe and Lana move toward the door.

"Do you think he's going to be OK?"

"I'll take him by the infirmary if he doesn't start feeling better."

"OK. If Lex drops by tell him I'm in the library."

"OK"

I think it's funny.

I think it's hilarious!

Let me get this straight. Clark in pain is funny to you people?
